Kalne is a tiny village in Southern Maharastra very close to Goa's border. Located in the bossom of Western Ghats, of late has attracted tremendous amount of attention due to villagers protesting against marauding mining industry. The revolt is serving as an flame of protest to number of other areas in Dodamarg, Sindadurg and Konkan region. This blog is an attempt to document this outstanding voice of dissent and defence from mining industry.
